PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium is celebrating World Wildlife Day by offering free admission.

The zoo announced Monday that everyone who comes to the Zoo will get in for free Tuesday, March 3 only.

The zoo says it is a great way for “everyone to connect with wildlife.”

“It is important for all of us to start thinking about how our actions can make a positive impact on the environment and conservation efforts,” says Dr. Barbara Baker, President & CEO. “We want to educate our visitors about how important their role is in facilitating change.”

In addition to celebrating with free admission, the zoo encourages people to share their thoughts on World Wildlife Day by sharing on social media using the hashtags, #WorldWildlifeDay #WWD2020 #SustainingAllLife #Biodiversity2020 and #SustainableUse

They also encourage people to consider donating to wildlife conservation projects.
