PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Giant Eagle is being sued over its mask policy.
State requirements for customers to wear masks inside businesses to provide exceptions for medical conditions, but allows businesses to set their own policies.
Giant Eagle has previously said customers must wear masks inside the store, and other options are available for those who cannot.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports six plaintiffs claim they cannot wear masks due to breathing problems, and being denied access to the stores violates the American With Disabilities Act.
The federal lawsuit was filed Tuesday evening.
