PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Governor Tom Wolf releases his budget proposal Tuesday in a speech to a joint session of the House and Senate starting at 11:30 a.m.
Mr. Wolf tells KDKA Radio's Larry Richert he will call on lawmakers again to raise the minimum wage to $12 to $15 an hour.
“21 states raised their minimum wages on January 1 of this year, we’re still where we were in 2009 at $7.25,” said Wolf. “We’re below every state, every state that surrounds us.”

Governor Wolf also says there will be no tax increases and he'll ask for a reduction in the corporate net income tax.
Wolf will also propose a billion-dollar program to repair schools:
“I’m not going to ask for any tax increases . . . but a billion dollars to go quickly to our toxic schools to address problems with lead, asbestos and mold.”
Wolf says the budget includes a "real solution" for student debt.
