PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pittsburgh’s robotics row is getting a little longer.

Honeywell announced Thursday it will open a robotics innovation hub.

The center in 3 crossings will focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning and advanced robotics for use across supply chains.

Like many of the robotics centers in the Strip, it was drawn in part by Carnegie Mellon University’s national robotics engineering center with which it will collaborate.

Honeywell says it will hire a variety of software and robotics engineers. It isn’t saying how many.

It will be headed by Joseph Lui, who comes over from Amazon.
