PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Authorities are considering whether to file charges against a Beaver County teenager who posted an online threat against an undisclosed Pittsburgh hospital.
The twitter post early Tuesday afternoon didn't mention a specific hospital but threatened a hate crime.
Pittsburgh Police Commander Eric Holmes says with help from the FBI and State Police they traced the treat to the teen's twitter account.
"Early this morning they were led to a suspect, the suspect was interviewed and the investigation at this point is still ongoing," said Holmes.
A police statement says the teen had no intention of carrying out the threat but it was disruptive with many hospital workers posting they may not show up for work Wednesday.
The 16-year-old is currently not in police custody.
