PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) There are many fears with the spread of Coronavirus and who is able to catch it.

All humans are susceptible to being infected, but what about our beloved pets?

Veterinarian Dr. Mike Hutchinson joined the KDKA Morning Show with Larry Richert and Kevin Battle yesterday to discuss this question.

According Dr. Hutchinson, your pets can get the disease but not feel the effects.

They can become carriers of the virus if they come in contact with it.

Dr. Hutchinson suggests that if you are sick at all, to refrain from as much contact as possible with you pets.

They may not feel effects of many diseases but they can carry and pass along anything they catch.

He would go on to say that, he has no fear of the virus in his pets, and the best way to combat Coronavirus by simply washing your hands.

Dr. Hutchinson also discussed a dog's reverse sneeze or tapeworms while on the Morning Show.
