
PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The man credited with building the Seven Springs ski area has died at 87.
Herman Dupre passed away on Saturday.
His parents founded the resort and Dupre went on to patent a snowmaking system.
In a post on Facebook, Seven Springs, said, “he was a friend and guide to many he encountered, and a loving husband to Sis, his wife of 63 years, and an inspirational father to his nine daughters. Together with the rest of the Dupre family, they forged a welcoming and important place for many in these Laurel Mountains.”
