Locked Down And Tucked In: City Officials To Read Bedtime Stories During Pandemic

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto will read bedtime stories for kids quarantined through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starting Monday evening, he will read stories at 7 p.m. Mondays and Friday, with public safety personnel reading on Wednesdays.

It is part of the Dolly Parton Imagination Library that provides free books to children living in the city.

The stories will be streamed on the Mayor’s Facebook page as well as the City of Pittsburgh’s YouTube channel.

Children ages 0-5 who live with city limits can register and receive a free book in the mail every month until their 5th birthday.
