McCandless police are warning residents that there have been reports of a phone scam making its way through a number of North Hills neighborhoods.
In a statement, police say a male caller identifying himself as a McCandless police Sergeant told victims the person that there was an active warrant out for their arrest and they needed to give him $4,000.
Police say they never call citizens and demand money.
If you receive a call like this, police are urging you to report it immediately.
