PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Washington, PA says they're ready to reopen their doors, after being closed for weeks as part of the Wolf administration's COVID-19 mitigation plan.

In a Facebook post, The Meadows made the announcement that they'll be reopening on June 9.


"We are pleased to announce that we will be opening our doors with limited offerings on Tuesday, June 9, at 12:00pm. While we are excited to welcome you back, it is imperative that we create a safe environment for you and our team members. With this in mind, we have been working closely with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and state and local leaders to finalize a comprehensive plan for the reopening of The Meadows Casino. Details of those protocols and additional information on the reopening will be made available here on Facebook and our website in the coming days.  We look forward to welcoming you back safely. #welcomeback"

Washington County moves into the Green phase of the Governor's COVID reopening plan on Friday, June 5.

Rivers Casino located on the North Shore of Pittsburgh, will also reopen on June 9 as Allegheny County moves to green on Friday as well.
