(Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Max Brooks, author and son of famed comedic actor and writer Mel Brooks has taken to twitter to stress the importance of social distancing during the coronavirus outbreak.

In the video Max says he is 47-years-old and if he gets the coronavirus, he’ll probably be okay, but not his 93-year-old father, who is seen behind a window.

Max goes on to say if he gives it to his dad then comedian/actors Carl Reiner and Dick Van Dyke could also get it, meaning he wiped out an entire generation of comedic geniuses.

Max says to also avoid crowds, wash your hands, stay at least six feet away from people and if possible, stay home.

The video ends with Mel telling his son to go home!
