Much Of Area Under Winter Weather Advisory Until Tuesday Morning

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pittsburgh and much of the region is under a winter weather advisory until late Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service out of Pittsburgh says that mixed precipitation is expected around the area and can cause slick conditions.


Up to two inches of snow could fall along with one tenth of an inch of ice.

Rain will also be mixed in with the snow and ice.

Temperatures will slowly fall through the 30s Monday evening into Tuesday night with a low near freezing expected.

The National Weather Service reported half an inch of snow at their Moon Township headquarters Monday morning.

The winter weather advisory expires at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
