HARRISBURG, PA (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Pennsylvania Department of Health has announced 1,676 new statewide cases of coronavirus in its Saturday, April 11 update.

The total is now 21,665 in Pennsylvania.

All 67 counties have now reported positive cases.

There have also been 78 new deaths across the state.

The Pennsylvania death toll is now at 494.

Everyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 is now either at home in isolation or at the hospital.

But there have been 98,498 negative tests so far.

41% of the positive cases occurred in the 25-49 age group, while 29% have been in the 50-64 range.

21% of the cases have been in the 65 or older demographic.

"Now more than ever, as we continue to see COVID-19 cases and deaths rise in Pennsylvania, we need Pennsylvanians to take action," Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine said.

"Those actions should be to stay calm, stay home and stay safe. If you must go out, please limit it to as few trips as possible and wear a mask to protect not only yourself, but other people as well. We need all Pennsylvanians to heed these efforts to protect our vulnerable Pennsylvanians, and our healthcare workers and frontline responders."
