Coronavirus testing in Pennsylvania

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Cases of coronavirus in Western PA continues to rise, but the jump in numbers isn't as high as it has been over the past few days. 

The Pennsylvania Department of Health released numbers on Tuesday that shows 1,146 additional cases of coronavirus in the state for a total of 25,345 in all 67 counties.


 A total of 584 have died across the commonwealth.

Locally, there are now:

893 cases with 24 deaths in Allegheny156 with 14 deaths in Beaver143 with five deaths in Butler70 with one deaths in Washington231 with six deaths in Westmoreland28 with one death in Armstrong51 with four deaths in Lawrence44 with zero deaths in Mercer43 with zero deaths in Indiana23 with zero deaths in Greene 58 with three death in Fayette13 with zero deaths in Somerset 14 with one death in Cambria 

That is a total of 1,767 cases and 59 dead in the area, seven more than Monday

Governor Tom Wolf has put the entire state under a Stay-at-Home order, until at least April 30.

All non-life essential businesses remain closed to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
