PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - A new mixed-income apartment complex is coming to the South Side Works.
Contractors broke ground on Connection @ South Side Wednesday, where a portion of the 280 units must be affordable to those making 50% of the area's median income.
Once the project is completed in 2021, rent for the affordable units will range from $650 - 850 per month.
The complex will come with a pool, fitness center, dog park and other amenities.
Construction begins this month.
