The show is an irreverent origin story that follows a teenage girl who's navigating the trials and tribulations of high school, all while dealing with the complexities of her family, her budding sexuality, and mysterious superpowers just beginning to awaken deep within her (Netflix).
“I read the script and I was like ‘this is so real,’” said Actress Sofia Bryant, during an interview with KDKA Radio on Wednesday. “I was stoked that it was something that resonated with me.”
What makes this program special is the fact that all of the filming took place in Pittsburgh, and the costumes and clothing used throughout the show include a lot of black and yellow - as a nod to the sports teams.
