PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) -- Five prison inmates are facing charges after a fight injured a sixth inmate at the Westmoreland County Prison back in December, according to the Tribune Review.

The injured inmate told investigators that he was invited into a cell around 8:30 p.m. on December 7th and then four of the charged inmates attacked him.

The fifth stood watch outside of the closed door so no one could intervene.

His story is supported by surveillance video and a witness.

All five inmates are charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and conspiracy.

Three are being held on $50,000 bails with preliminary hearings set for February 22nd.

Two have not been arraigned.
