PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – DeJuan Blair grew up in Pittsburgh's Hill District and, like Kobe Bryant, had a life-long love affair with basketball.
So it was no surprise when the two became fast friends in the NBA.
Bryant first spotted Blair in a state championship while Blair was still in High school and they had a bond that lasted over the years
