
The high school basketball postseason has been completed with the playing of the PIAA Championships this past weekend in Hershey. Now, we turn our attention to the individuals who excelled on the hardwood this season with the Super 7 Player of the Year Awards.
KDKA Radio’s staff has nominated three finalists from each WPIAL boys and girls classification, as well as the Pittsburgh City League. Winners will be honored at the KDKA Radio Super 7 Basketball Awards Show later this month.

BOYS 6A
Tyler Robbins, Upper St. Clair - Miami (OH) recruit 15 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals per game as USC won second straight WPIAL title.
RJ Sledge, Imani Christian - Division I prospect who scored over 22 points per game as Imani made postseason following move up to Class 6A.
Zach Pollaro, North Hills - Franciscan recruit who bolstered North Hills’ offense by averaging over 21 points per game to help the Indians to the playoffs.
BOYS 5A
Jayden Davis, Chartiers Valley - Surpassed 2,000 career points while scoring over 23 points per game and winning WPIAL title.
Ama Sow, Montour - UT Martin recruit who posted over 20 points and over 17 rebounds per game while blocking 3.5 shots per game.
Nate Wesling, Baldwin - Paced Baldwin team that lost just twice all season by scoring over 19 points per game.
BOYS 4A
Rowan Carmichael, Avonworth - Leading scorer in WPIAL boys basketball at 32 points per game, the 16th-best mark in the WPIAL over the last 45 years.
Brady Mayo, Beaver - Bucknell football recruit who finished second in scoring in the WPIAL at 27.2 points per game and led Bobcats to semifinals.
Zion Moore, Belle Vernon - WPIAL’s third-leading scorer at 27 points per game, powering Leopards to WPIAL Class 4A title.
BOYS 3A
Josh Pratt, Aliquippa - Division I prospect who racked up 22 points per game as Aliquippa reached the WPIAL title game.
Drew Cook, South Allegheny - Division I football recruit who racked up 21 points per game, leading the Gladiators to a WPIAL Championship.
Luke Scarff, South Park - Averaged 22 points and over 12 rebounds per game to help Eagles to the Class 3A postseason.
BOYS 2A
Lucas Stanley, Union - Posted nearly 25 points per game for the Scotties, who reached the WPIAL Class 2A finals.
Kymon’e Brown, Jeannette - Floor general for WPIAL Champion Jeannette, averaging 12.5 points per game and 7.5 assists per.
AJ Tarpley, Greensburg Central Catholic - Sophomore who led balanced Greensburg Central attack with over 12 points and nearly 5 rebounds per game.
BOYS 1A
Courtney Wallace, Neighborhood - Yale recruit who paced TNA’s WPIAL title winning team with 22.6 points per game, while leading the team in rebounds and assists.
Owen Dumbroski, Serra Catholic - Scored over 20 points per game as Eagles reached WPIAL Class 1A Championship Game.
Jacob Guillen, Aquinas Academy - Dropped in 24 points per game for 20-win Aquinas, which reached WPIAL semifinals and PIAA quarterfinals.
BOYS CITY LEAGUE
Lukas Stead, Allderdice - Powered Allderdice to another City League title by scoring 16.8 points per game in the post.
Brayden Fisher, Carrick - Led the City League in scoring at nearly 24 points per game.
Naron Jackson, Obama Academy - Propelled Obama Academy to the City League finals by scoring over 18 points per game.
GIRLS 6A
Rylee Kalocay, Upper St. Clair - Kent State recruit who was only player in top two classes of WPIAL to average at least 20 points per game in regular season (23.9) as Panthers took WPIAL title.
Kendall Berger, Norwin - Clarion recruit who averaged nearly 15 points per game as Knights finished runner-up in 6A Championship Game.
Gracie Cato, Seneca Valley - Powered Raiders to a turnaround season while scoring over 16 points per game to take Section 1-6A regular season title.
GIRLS 5A
Natalie Wetzel, Peters Township - Miami (FL) recruit who averaged nearly 20 points per game as Indians took WPIAL 5A Championship.
Haylie Lamonde, South Fayette - Versatile guard who scored over 12 points per game for WPIAL runner-up Lions.
Reese Smetanka, Shaler - Sophomore who averaged 19 points per game in bounce-back season for 20-win Titans.
GIRLS 4A
Aubree Hupp, Blackhawk - Junior who scored over 21 points per game for Cougars, who reached WPIAL title game and PIAA quarterfinals.
Annsley Baker, Beaver - Racked up nearly 21 points per game for Bobcats, who reached WPIAL quarterfinals.
London Creach, Oakland Catholic - Averaged around 14 points per game and was defensive leader for WPIAL champion and 25-win Eagles.
GIRLS 3A
Erica Gribble, Greensburg Central Catholic - Richmond commit who scored over 22 points per game, including 31 in GCC’s WPIAL Championship victory.
Mimi Thiero, Quaker Valley - One of region’s top Division I prospects, who scored 22.4 points per game while helping Quakers to WPIAL quarterfinals.
Karis Thomas, Shady Side Academy - Averaged over 18 points per game for the WPIAL runner-up Bulldogs.
GIRLS 2A
Payton Newman, Neshannock - Helped Neshannock reach WPIAL Girls Basketball Championships who shined brightest in the postseason, averaging over 20 points per game.
Aunesty Johnson, Aliquippa - Poured in over 17 points per game for Aliquippa, which claimed WPIAL Class 2A title.
Carla Brown, Aliquippa - Scored over 15 points per game this year while surging in the postseason for the WPIAL champions.
GIRLS 1A
Iyanna Wade, Clairton - Led the WPIAL in scoring for a third straight season, averaging a remarkable 41.6 points per game for the Bears, who finished Class 1A runner-up.
Kylie Fruehstorfer, Union - Leader of WPIAL champion Scotties, who were fueled by 20 points per game from the Pitt-Johnstown recruit.
Emma Larkin, Geibel Catholic - All-state performer as a junior, finished second in the WPIAL in scoring at over 27 points per game.
GIRLS CITY LEAGUE
Bailey White, Allderdice - Powered the Dragons to a City League title while scoring nearly 21 points per game.
Taylor Philips, Obama Academy - Led the City League in scoring at almost 23 points per game, as Eagles reached League finals.
Jocelyn Fisher, Carrick - Paced Carrick with over 16 points per game, securing a spot in the City League semifinals.
