PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) – With Boston cancelling their St. Patrick's Day Parade due to the threat of coronavirus, rumors surrounding the fate of Pittsburgh's parade began.

However, Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Day Parade's Facebook account posted that the parade is still on, stating that: "At this time, the rumors of the Parade being cancelled are false."

Boston's Mayor Martin J. Walsh issued a statement on Monday regarding the 2020 St. Patrick's Day Parade in South Boston, stating that the decision to cancel their parade was to "keep the residents of Boston safe and healthy."
