PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - No jail time for the former Elizabeth Borough Police Chief who stole heroin from the department’s evidence room.
42-year-old Timothy Butler of Finleyville was sentenced Wednesday to four years of probation and 325 hours of community service.
The Trib reports Butler pleaded guilty in August in a deal that dropped addition charges related to theft of parking meter money.
He resigned last December after being confronted about the missing drugs and money.
