UNIONTOWN, Pa. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - All Antoinette Hodge wanted to do was become the Tax Collector in her hometown of Uniontown, Fayette County.
She ran for the office and won.
But the city refused to swear her in.
There was one hurdle after another and it seemed no matter what she did it wasn't enough, until she filed a Federal Lawsuit and argued the town was keeping her out of office because of her race.Days after the suit was filed, the city reversed its position and her swearing in is set for Monday, January 13.
Hodge and her Attorney Joel Sansone told KDKA Radios Lynne Hayes-Freeland it is a victory but not over.
