HARRISBURG Pa. (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed an additional 691 cases of COVID-19 across the state, bringing the total past or present cases to 139,316.
In the last seven days, the State of Pennsylvania administered 158,994 tests and accumulated 5,791 positive cases.
In the new daily update, the PA Health Department stated that there were no new deaths from coronavirus, keeping the state-wide death toll at 7,760.
Of the patients who have tested positive to date the age breakdown is as follows:
- Approximately 1% are ages 0-4;
- Nearly 2% are ages 5-12;
- Approximately 4% are ages 13-18;
- Nearly 11% are ages 19-24;
- Approximately 37% are ages 25-49;
- Approximately 22% are ages 50-64; and
- Nearly 23% are ages 65 or older.
Mask-wearing is still required across the state and the continuous use of a mask is a critical part in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
