HARRISBURG (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Pennsylvania Department of Health provided a COVID-19 update on Saturday.

The number of cases jumped to 371 on Saturday, March 21 after hitting 268 cases on Friday, March 20.


Locally there are 31 cases and one death in Allegheny County, three cases in Beaver County, five in Washington County, four in Westmoreland County and now one in Butler County.

No other deaths have been reported in any other county locally, other than Allegheny.

Also on the Western part of the state, there is one case in Erie County

Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine led the press conference and continued to encourage social distancing, staying at home and washing hands with soap.

Levine also went on to talk about statewide and local measures that are being taken.
