PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Art Institute of Pittsburgh could close at the end of March.
The Post-Gazette reports Dream Center Education Holdings submitted a closure notice to regulators earlier this month.
The Los Angeles-based nonprofit bought the Art Institute campuses in 2017, and closed about half them last year.
Students will complete the current term, with only a fraction of the over 2,000 in-school and online Pittsburgh students completing courses.
Those with work to complete after March 31 will be transferred to a "partner institution" and will have to apply for a federal student loan discharge.
The closure is pending approval by regulators.
