We now know the cause of death for the driver of the vehicle who was killed when he was thrown from his vehicle, after it plunged from the Route 65 ramp to the Fort Duquesne Bridge, down to Reedsdale Street below.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office says 52-year-old Michael Smith, of Sheraden, died of multiple blunt force injuries, and the manner of death was an accident.
A second person in cardiac arrest was pronounced dead at the hospital.
She has been identified as 58-year-old Danielle Jackman of Churchill.
A total of five cars were involved in the accident at the Rt. 65 ramp to the Fort Duquesne Bridge.
The crash closed the road for several hours.
A memorial is planned for “Dani”, as her friends called her, on May 15 at Smitty’s Place in McKeesport, where she worked part-time.
