Allegheny County Police Narcotics Unit Arrests Heroin Dealer in Hazelwood Area

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Newsradio KDKA 1020) - The Allegheny County Police Narcotics Detectives used a search warrant early on Friday, February 14 to locate an individual connected with heroin trafficking in Hazelwood.

The Detectives used the warrant for the house located at 4713 Monongahela Street.


During the search, 550 bags of heroin/fentanyl were seized.

The amount of heroin is valued at $3,300.

Along with the heroin, investigators confiscated a stolen handgun, small quantities of marijuana, and over $7,000 in cash.

One adult male was arrested at the scene.

He was identified as Derrick Phillips and has been charged with felony possession with intent to deliver heroin/fentanyl, receiving stolen property, person not to possess a firearm, and possession.

Phillips awaits his arraignment in the Allegheny County Jail.
