PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Pittsburgh Police K-9 Unit is mourning the loss of two of their own.
K-9 Mac passed away on July 30. Mac served from July of 206 until December of 2013.
After retiring Mac lived with his handler, Police Officer Dante Borghini.
Mac was 15.
On August 3 police announced that K-9 Bartje has passed away.
Bartje served from 2011 until retiring in 2017.
He spend the last two years of his life living with his handler Chad O’Brien and his family.
