PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Walmart stores throughout the Pittsburgh area closed their doors earlier than scheduled Sunday.
The move was reportedly due to possible threats during more George Floyd protests.
The Walmart in Beaver Falls posted an announcement to their Facebook page stating, "We are temporarily closing the store and plan to reopen at 7am."
The Cranberry Walmart posted a similar message on their Facebook page.
Overnight, the Walmart in North Verailles announced an early closure because of the cerfew implemented in the City of Pittsburgh.
Protests in the city on Saturday turned violent when a Pittsburgh Police vheicle was set on fire. Eventually the rioting and looting took hold of the city and Pittsburgh Public Safety said the city was "NOT safe" last night.
