Police Release Photo Of Suspect In Oakland Burglary, Attempted Sexual Assault

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — Pittsburgh Police need help finding a suspect in a burglary and an attempted sexual assault in Oakland, releasing pictures over the weekend. 

On Friday, police say this man used a rear door to access to a woman's residence in the 400 block of Oakland Avenue around 4:15 a.m. The woman says he attempted to sexually assault her, but she was able to fight him off. 

He was last seen on Oakland Ave. headed toward Sennott St.

He is African-American, approximately 6’0’’ with an athletic build and short hair. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, camouflage colored shorts, and black boots.

Authorities are reminding students to keep doors and windows locked.
