Police Say A Pittsburgh Man Placed Explosives Devices Downtown

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Police arrested a Pittsburgh man Thursday, accused of leaving explosives outside of a downtown building.

Surveillance video reportedly shows Matthew Michanowicz placing a backpack full of explosives near PNC Plaza.

According to court documents, charges against the 52-year-old include three counts of posessing weapons of mass destruction and three counts of arson.

Bail for Michanowicz, set at $100,000, was posted and he is awaiting a premilinary hearing scheduled for August.
