PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - The Golffather Italian Open will take place on July 28th at Hillcrest Country Club in Lower Burrell.
Proceeds will benefit the Bruno and Carol Sammartino Foundation.
Bruno established the foundation before he passed away in April of 2018. The mission is to help people who are challenged, especially young families, homeless, and hungry people in the region.
“That’s what he was passionate about, because he lived that life,” said Darryl Sammartino, Bruno’s son, during an interview with KDKA Radio on Monday.
A foursome can be purchased at the price of $500 and it includes green fees, a golf cart, a commemorative gift, a sausage sandwich and an Italian buffet dinner.
Dinner music will be performed live by Jimmy Sapienza.
