There is a recall on R. L. Zeigler Co., Inc. products that may be contaminated with "extraneous materials, specifically metal."
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service is issuing the recall on Red Hot chicken and pork sausage produced November 29, 2018 that have been shipped nation wide.
The recalled products are:
- 24-oz. plastic packages containing approximately 9 links of "ZEIGLER A TRADITION OF GREAT TASTE RED HOTS" with a "Use By Jan 24 19" date.
- 24-oz. plastic packages containing approximately 9 links of "EXTRA HOT ZEIGLER A TRADITION OF GREAT TASTE RED HOTS" with a "Use By Jan 24 19" date.
*The products subject to recall bear establishment number "EST. P-9156S" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
If you have these products in your home, you should throw them away or return them to where you purchased.
