
(Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - the Jefferson County district attorney has said there is enough evidence to charge two teens after a video of them abusing a wounded deer was caught on tape.
The PA Game Commission has also filed charged against the Brookville teens.
One is identified as 18-year-old Alexander Brock Smith and the other is a 17-year-old Juvenile.
One of the teens is the stepson of Brookville Police Chief Vince Markle.
They each face two felony counts of aggravated animal cruelty and two felony counts of conspiracy to commit aggravated animal cruelty.
They also face several other misdemeanor charges
The video, believed to have been shot on November 30, shows the young men stomping on and kicking an injured white-tailed deer, laughing and allegedly try to pull the deer’s antlers off while it was still alive.
A Change.org petition has gained over 734,000 signatures asking for criminal charges to be filed against those responsible for the abuse.
