PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) Ross Township Police are looking for people going door to door asking to see utility bills and attempting to gain entry to homes.
Ross Police posted on their Facebook page yesterday that they are unaware if this is a possible scam or from real companies.
Reports of the suspicious activity have been coming in for the past few days and there are not current permits for this activity.
The police are saying to be aware and to contact authorities immediately if someone comes to your door asking for your bills or if you see anyone going door to door.
A comment on the Ross Township Police Facebook suggests that this is happening in multiple communities and not just Ross.
