Shooting Incident in Sheraden Causes Langley School Lockdown, None Injured

PITTSBURGH, PA (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pittsburgh Police responded to a call of a “domestic dispute” occurring in Sheraden.

While on that call, the officers were also responding to a ShotSpotter alert.

The alert was for the 700 block of Sherwood Avenue.

And it took place around 2:25 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

Officers arrived and learned that a male suspect had fired shots in the direction of an unknown individual.

No injuries were reported, but a car in the vicinity was damaged.

The nearby Langley K-8 School was placed on lockdown after the incident.

Pittsburgh School Police performed a sweep of the area, nothing was discovered, and the lockdown was lifted.

Police are continuing to investigate the event.
