
PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Allegheny County Police are asking for help identifying a man who reportedly spit on a Giant Eagle store manager.
Police say the suspect paid for a $50 money order at the Edgewood location “but then demanded he receive $100 for the money order.”
Employees reviewed security footage and found out that the $50 amount was correct.
“The male began screaming and threatening employees before spitting in the managers face,” according to county police.
The man is described as black with a slender build and some facial hair.
He was last seen wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt with the hood pulled up.
Giant Eagle says they are “working with our affected team member to provide the care she needs and deserves.”
The grocery chain adds they support law enforcement in their investigation and that he “answers for his careless and disrespectful behavior.”
