(Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - State Police made two arrests over the weekend after a couple of bizarre coughing pranks.

Both coughing crimes took place in Westmoreland County, but don't appear to be connected.

In one case, a 48-year-old woman got upset when a restaurant employee handed her a drink in a cup holder at the drive thru.

The driver rejecting the cup holder.  And when the 24-year-old cashier explained it was a safety precaution, the suspect started coughing on her and said, "I hope you get COVID-19 and die."

The employee told police she could feel the woman's saliva hit her face and hands.

In another case, a 53-year-old man from Cherry Tree allegedly coughed on employees at a doctor's office in Unity Township, claiming he'd been around people infected with COVID-19 and their medical masks won't save them.

Both suspects face charges.
