PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Allegheny County’s Health Department Director is keeping an eye for out any spike in COVID-19 cases since stay-at-home order were lifted for Southwestern Pennsylvania.
Dr. Debra Bogen says it takes five days on average for coronavirus symptoms to show, at least a couple more days to get test results.
“So realistically we won’t know if there’s an increase for reopening for about 10 to 14 days at least,” said Bogen.
The region entered the yellow phase seven days ago.
As for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, Dr. Bogen says limit gatherings to no more than 25 people, practice social distancing and limit the number of people who handle food and utensils.
