Tornado Watch Issued For Large Area Of Pittsburgh Region

PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - With strong storms expected to make way through the area Tuesday afternoon and evening, the National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for the following counties:

Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Clarion, Fayette, Forest, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Washington, and Westmoreland.

The watch also extends to Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson and Tuscarawas counties in Ohio as well as Brooke and Hancock counties in West Virginia.

The watch runs through 10:00 Tuesday night.
