PITTSBURGH (KDKA Newsradio) - An accident between two tractor-trailers occurred on the Pennsylvania Turnpike just past the New Stanton interchange.

Detours were set into motion, pushing traffic off at New Stanton and Somerset to Route 119 to Toll 66 North to 30 WB.

Traffic was then rerouted back onto the Turnpike at the Irwin interchange.

One of the tractor-trailers was stationary during the collision, which caused an explosion and consequent fire.

Emergency units were called to the scene to help extinguish the emblazed trailer.

One driver was transported to the hospital.

The road has been cleared since the accident, and westbound traffic is flowing again.

While the road is clear, leftover delays are still likely, but detours are no longer being used.

ALL Westbound lanes are now OPEN and the detour has been lifted at Somerset Exit #110. Emergency units continue to operate in the area of the New Stanton Exit #75. Stay alert for units on the shoulder. https://t.co/3xCbVPACi4
