PITTSBURGH (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - There were two armed robberies early Tuesday morning in Brookline and Squirrel Hill.
The first crime targeted a convenience store in the 100 hundred block of Brookline Boulevard around 2:30 a.m.
Two men walked in wearing dark hooded sweatshirts with their faces covered, flashed a gun and left with cigarettes.
About 30 minutes later, the same thing happened at a convenience store in the 4400 block of Browns Hill Road, except the pair left with cash instead of cigarettes.
No injuries were reported in either incident and police are investigating if the two robberies are connected.
