Unknown Substance Sparks HAZMAT Situation In Washington Co.

ROSCOE, Pa. (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) — It’s still unclear what sparked a HAZMAT situation early Wednesday morning in Washington County.

It started just after 2 a.m. when EMTs were exposed to an unknown substance while responding to a medical call on Garfield Ave. in Roscoe, some of whom were transported to the hospital. Their condition is unknown. 

HAZMAT crews, firefighters and State Police investigated for five hours.

No on in the area is in danger, and no homes were evacuated.
