HARRISBURG (Newsradio 1020 KDKA) - Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf is acknowledging he “took a real gamble” participating in George Floyd protests in Dauphin County earlier this week, seemingly going against he and PA Health Director Dr. Rachel Levine’s guidance on avoiding large crows.

Congressman Fred Keller, who represents a large area in the middle of PA, said the other day on Twitter that Wolf’s “hypocrisy knows no end.”

Gov. Wolf said hardworking Pennsylvanians protesting for their right to earn a living were "cowardly." He threatened to withhold taxpayer funds from those who didn't social distance.Today, he's literally walking arm-in-arm with protesters. His hypocrisy knows no end. https://t.co/2bIPIPXZpR

“That was inconsistent, I acknowledge that but I was trying to show support for a cause that, the eradication of racism that I think is very, very important and I was trying to show support for that effort,” said Wolf.

Wolf adds he hasn’t decided if he will take a COVID-19 test after participating in protests but that he is “trying to be extra cautious as a result, I mean I recognize I took a real gamble there but I thought that risk was worth taking for that specific cause.”
