It’s been a hot topic since the Covid-19 Pandemic began: toilet paper shortages.  Here are some updates from well- known brands on what they are doing to help others during this time and what they are doing to combat the shortage.

Scott and Cottonelle  - The Scott and Cottonelle brands are owned by Kimberly-Clark.  In a recent media release Cottonelle shared that they will commit $1 million dollars and one-million rolls of Cottonelle to the  United Way Worldwide COVID-19 Community Response and Recovery Fund.  They are also encouraging the public to #ShareASquare  with neighbors and members of their community who may be short on toilet paper.  Cottonelle commits to donating additional donations to United Way when individuals use the #ShareASquare hashtag.

Kimberly-Clark also recently publically thanked workers via Twitter who were helping to ensure products were produced and distributed.

Shout out to our teams around the world for their commitment to health, safety, and to you, our consumers, during these challenging times. They are working hard to ensure a steady supply of our essential products. We’re all in this together! #WeAreKC pic.twitter.com/bmdj78grAT

Procter & Gamble (P&G), the company that owns Charmin toilet paper, has increased their Georgia plant production by getting idle equipment back online while making sure they focus on the safety of their workers.

In Europe the company announced $10 million dollars’ worth of monetary and product donations to health care workers, families and elderly citizens.

Both Angel Soft and Quilted Northern  are owned by parent company Georgia-Pacific.  They share on their website that they are working with manufacturers and distributers to get toilet paper to people and stores and are working 24/7 on producing product.  In addition in an FAQ section visitors to the site can see how much toilet paper a 2 or 4 person household would need over a 2-week period.
