Former Steelers linebacker Arthur Moats grew up experiencing some of the racial inequality that people are talking about it today.

He never forgot about it.

Moats made it to the NFL, accomplishing his dream, but he still wanted to make a difference.

“I wanted to make sure that those memories I had from when I was a young person growing up, I would try to implement different things to help change, to help impact these communities, and ultimately help make this world better because it starts with the communication,” Moats said, during an interview with the KDKA Radio Morning Show on Thursday.

“Then from there, you start to take those actions; to ultimately have that impact,” Moats adds.

Instead of looking at the negative aspects that are currently taking place in society, like rioting and looting during protests over the death of George Floyd, he chooses to look at the positives.
