A local teenager did pretty well for himself on an episode of Wheel of Fortune this week.
Justin Mattes from the Peter’s Township area won a total of $16,750 in cash and prizes during the show’s Teen Week.
Mattes also won a trip to Barbados.
Mattes is also heavily involved in his community as a member of the Boys Scouts of America and youth ministry he is involved in.
He plays trumpet in his school’s band and is also a member of the drama club.
Justin also is a big Pittsburgh sports fan. He has even traveled to Cincinnati and Baltimore to watch Pirates games.
He was urged by his mom, a big Wheel of Fortune, to apply for Teen Week and Justin has also been watching the show himself since he was a baby.
Justin told Wheel of Fortune the money he made will go toward his college education.
