Pittsburgh (Newsradio KDKA) - The Marvel tentpole release Eternals earned a respectable $161.7 million global haul in its worldwide opening, the second highest opening in the pandemic era (behind only F9: The Fast Saga's 163 million). Normally this would be cause for celebration but when we're talking about a movie carrying the marvel banner the result seems like a bit of a mixed bag. The question will be will Eternals have the same long theatrical legs as Marvel's other recent hits.

Clifford the Big Red Dog (PG)

Starring - Darby Camp and Jack Whitehall

Based on the beloved Scholastic book character, Clifford will teach the world how to love big. When middle-schooler Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) meets a magical animal rescuer (John Cleese) who gifts her a little, red puppy, she never anticipated waking up to find a giant ten-foot hound cramped in her small New York City apartment. While her single mom is away on business, Emily and her fun but impulsive uncle Casey (Jack Whitehall) set out on an adventure that will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat as our heroes take a bite out of the Big Apple.

Belfast (PG-13)

Starring - Jude Hill, Judi Dench, Jamie Dornan and Ciaran Hinds

Critically acclaimed Actor, Director and Writer Kenneth Branagh presents a movie close to his heart. Belfast is a movie straight from Branagh's own experience. Anine-year old boy must chart a path towards adulthood through a world that has suddenly turned upside down. His stable and loving community and everything he thought he understood about life is changed forever but joy, laughter music and the formative magic of the movies remain.
