Lace Up and Roll Out: Roller Skating Returns to Schenley Rink for the Summer
Pittsburgh's newest summer tradition is rolling back into town. On Wednesday, May 27, the beloved Schenley Skating Rink will officially swap out the ice for pavement, opening for another highly anticipated season of outdoor roller skating.
Located at 10341 Overlook Drive, the rink offers the perfect backdrop for skaters of all ages to glide into the warm weather. Guests are highly encouraged to bring their own skates to hit the floor straight away, though limited rentals will also be available on-site for those who need them. The "First Roll" of the season kicks off at 6:30 PM, setting the stage for a summer filled with music, fresh air, and community fun.
Whether you're looking for an energetic evening activity or a breezy morning glide, Schenley Rink has you covered. Following the opening night, the rink will operate during its regular summer hours: Wednesday evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, and Thursday and Friday mornings from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
