PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) – Before the last preseason game, Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy said he needed to see Broderick Jones play both sides of the line consistently. Apparently he didn’t like what he saw as the Steelers 2023 first-round pick was traded to the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday.
Jones goes to Dallas with the Steelers fourth-round pick for the Cowboys third and sixth round picks next year according to NFL Network.
The 25-year-old is coming back from a serious neck injury suffered against the Bears last November. He only returned to full practice during training camp, but did play in all three preseason games to mixed results. Even Jones questioned his effectiveness in the second preseason game.
The former Georgia star is reunited with his Bulldogs and Steelers teammate George Pickens.
